Willie's Corner

Dear Angels and Friends,

The primary mission of SA Germany is to support our wounded heroes who are transitioned through Germany from Iraq and Afghanistan.

We provide Transitional Backpacks for the inpatients at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. We also provide other forms of support for the outpatients at nearby Kleber Barracks (picnic visits, day trips, snacks and microwave meals, pictures and letters of support, etc.).

1. For our November, December, January and February backpacks we are in need of the following donations (for more information on these backpacks, please visit http://www.sablogs.com/index.php?blog=40&title=transitional_backpacks&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1):
240 International phone cards
240 Blankets of Hope
240 Sweatpants and Sweatshirts (or Jogging Suits) for cold winter weather
240 T-Shirts (solid color, L, XL, or XXL)
240 Boxerbriefs (L, XL, or XXL
240 Socks
240 Cards and Letters of Encouragement
Snacks and Goodies
Personal hygiene items (deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, lotion, etc.)

2. The Army National Guard Liaison Office at Landstuhl also has a current need (October) for International Phone Cards. (For more information, please visit http://www.sablogs.com/index.php?blog=40&cat=239)

3. Microwaveable meals, cookies, fruit cups, and other snacks for Kleber Barracks. Soldiers often arrive at Kleber from Iraq or Afghanistan in the evenings after regular meal hours. If you can donate these items, or can volunteer to write letters requesting donations from companies, please contact us!

Please notify us when items are shipped so we can look out for them and confirm their arrival. All donations are delivered directly through Willie, Nita, or MaryAnn to Landstuhl hospital and Kleber Barracks. Thank you all for your support of our wounded heroes!
